I haven't posted in awhile. I seem to have been very busy, although I couldn't really tell you what I've been doing! Almost all of us have had a cold and it seemed to suck the life right out of me, where the kids have been fine. Hayden continues to work on tooth number four and I am hoping to see it very soon. He hasn't been too miserable, just restless and a bit whiny. He is just so much happier in the Mitchell shoes, I can't believe it. He is becoming more and more mobile as the days go by and now tries to pursue something that gets away from him, eg. a toy. He's blowing lots of raspberries and his latest trick is dancing. It never ceases to amaze me how built-in music is to the human being. We are all naturally rhythmic beings and enjoy melody and beat. No one tells you how to dance or even shows you, you just do it. It is one of my favorite moments as a parent. So without much further ado, bust a move, Hayden! Please ignore my crappy singing, but it gives you the idea that it doesn't necessarily have to be good music for a baby to dance to!
I also introduced Hayden to the Tupperware cupboard and he thought it was a hoot! Check it out:
It was actually quite tidy still in this photo - you should have seen it when Kestrel got involved! Every piece was out on the floor. This will be a helpful feature for me down the road when I want to make dinner!
Last week I visited with Laura's mom to see about getting her to help me with some embroidery for my baby blankets I've been trying to get going. She has a very nice embroidery machine, which is something I just can't budget for at this time (more house renovations coming up, argh). I just haven't been able to motivate myself to do anything lately, so I kicked myself in the butt to get going on a project. I am very excited about the results and will keep you posted!
