So, Boy One - the Hamster Boy- is totally and officially weaned. All by himself. I didn't expect to feel this sad about it and I guess it's mainly because I really didn't get any say in this matter. Sure if he gets a gander at one of my hooties - he gives it a try - but since they're technically empty now, he gets annoyed and just bites me. So, I'm inclined to leave them under wraps. So, he now eats everything in sight. We have not observed an "off switch" as hubby puts it. I have started giving him a little whole milk, cold, and you'd swear it's the nectar of the Gods. The first time I gave it to him, he slugged it back and then started screaming at me for more! Mm-hmm....
Not too much exciting has been happening lately - just goin' along, really. Hayden had a follow-up with Dr. Pirani and it went very well. On the 0-6 scale (zero being the best), he has graded Hayden's feet at 0.5 (right) and 1 (left), so I am very, very pleased as is he. We set out to accomplish a certain set of goals and met them. Also, neither Dr. Pirani nor I can find the tenotomy scar on Hayden's left calf, which makes us giggle!
Oh, and thanks to all who have donated towards the Hip Hip Hooray event so far - your support is greatly appreciated!
I am trying to figure out what to do about going back to work. I would be due back roughly the end of May/beginning of June and am finding myself torn. Financially I don't need to go back to work, although the benefits would be good to have for some of Hayden's stuff. Socially, I would like to go back; I really like the people I work with and I tend to go a little batty without regular adult interaction. Realistically, it would be best for me to stay home as it would benefit hubby and his taxes. Gah! I gave myself until the end of this month to decide and I have two days left. Quandary. What to do, what to do.
That's about it for today. Not even a photograph, sorry!
